campaign_simulation report for performance max campaigns

Hi,

When I pull the campaign_simulation report for a performance max campaign I get an empty response, while for search campaigns it's working fine. Is this a bug or are we really not able to pull this data? It is viewable in the UI though..

I added adwords...@googlegroups.com as editor to the spreadsheet that is used in the script.

 

After trying out some more things I noticed that I do get output for pmax campaigns, but only when I don’t use a daterange in the query. It seems to take last 7 days data when not providing the daterange. In the UI we are also not able to select a daterange for the pmax campaign simulator.

 

For search campaign we can set a daterange in the past and in the future to get simulations. Would be nice to know if that is not possible at all for pmax.

I would like to inform you that the Google Ads API, which Google Ads Scripts' reporting infrastructure is back with as stated in this link <https://developers.google.com/google-ads/scripts/docs/features/reports>, only mirrors the behaviour that which is exhibited by the UI. On that note, if you'd have any clarifications on this, I would suggest reaching out to the Google Ads API Support Team via posting on their public forum <https://groups.google.com/g/adwords-api> as they would be better equipped in providing insights regarding reporting.

Please do note that we're only able to assist regarding script implementation as well as how to resolve issues within your scripts. If you'd encounter any issues within your scripts, just let us know.
