Google ads script Kratu report

hi,

I've been trying to get this script to work for me: https://developers.google.com/google-ads/scripts-legacy/docs/solutions/adsmanagerapp-kratu

However, when I tweak the script as intended it will run without errors but it won't update any of the data. It can also only be run once it seems.

If someone can help me out, it'd be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for providing the requested information. Kindly see my insights below.

 

• API version, last 30 days setting, frequency of script

If you're aiming to use the latest API reporting version, you could instead comment out the line of code which has specified an API version. That said, if you're also aiming to set the report period to last 30 days, you can navigate to the spreadsheet's Settings tab and set the ReportPeriod on row 2 to LAST_30_DAYS. Row 3 is for how often the script will create new reports (in days -> 1=daily, 7=weekly, 30=monthly). With this, it's intended that the script will only create a report once if it's set daily. Once it has detected it has created a report, it will then wait for the next day to create a new report.

 

• Clearing the sheet each run

It's stated in the source code of the script that it makes use of 2 spreadsheets: a main spreadsheet containing processing information, settings and a template for the reports, and another which is a report spreadsheet for each run (one loop over all accounts). This means that the main spreadsheet, which you've supplied in the script, will not get cleared as this is includes the configurations. This will simply log the history of each report run as well as the accounts that it has processed, but will never be cleared and will instead create a new report sheet which contains the report which is it's intended function to create a history of data. Each time a new report is generated, the script creates a report spreadsheet based on the template. All of the report files will be contained within the main spreadsheet's History tab along with the timestamps of it's execution which you may navigate to.

 

On that note, however, I will be raising this to our internal team for further investigation of the script's behaviour not logging any results. We'll get back the soonest we do receive a response with relevant feedback.
