On the UI panel of the advertising platform, the consumed data retains 2 digits in USD. I want to confirm whether the 2 decimal places are rounded or directly truncated?

Re-posting the last inquiry (https://groups.google.com/g/adwords-api/c/vsKUL5gaNxM) from the forum as it wasn't routed to our support queue.

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API team.

Regarding your concern, can you confirm if you are seeing this behavior in the Google Ads UI? If so, kindly note that our team provides assistance to concerns or issues related to Google Ads API (https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/start). Having said that, I would suggest reaching out to the Google Ads Product support team via this link (https://support.google.com/google-ads/gethelp) as they are better equipped to provide assistance to UI-related concerns. As our team does not handle these requests. For this type of request in the future, please use this link (https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/support) for Google Ads (non-API) to file your issue directly.

In Google Ads API perspective, if you are referring to cost data, please note that Fields of type Money are returned in micro currency units (micros) in the API which means for example, 1.23 would be converted to 1230000 (multiply by 1000000). To have the same metrics.cost_micros as the console/UI you could simply divide the cost by 1000000.

Additionally, you may check this Type and format summary guide, for more information about this.
