In April, health care activists in Minnesota joined with a national direct action group, People’s Action, to force a point against “insurers.” We occupied the lobby of United Health Care in suburban Minneapolis as an action event in People’s Action campaign known as “Care Over Cost” see the video People’s Action took of us when we demonstrated in April: Facebook Live | Facebook
People’s Action sent a letter to United Health Care’s CEO with a list of demands for justice Copy of Demand Letter for Delivery (United Healthcare) April 2024 (peoplesactioninstitute.org)
I encourage folks to contact your federal officials about compelling all “insurers” to cover medically necessary care. I am gearing up to join another People’s Action demonstration for health care justice, and welcome inquiries. Americans burdened with bad access to quality health care need more fellow Americans willing to show up and speak out.
Eventually, we will outlaw “insurers,” but meanwhile, holding them accountable is important,

Who are your two federal and two state officials? Mine are Senator Klobuchar and Congresswoman McCollum, and on the state level I have Senator Oumou Verbeten and Rep. Hollins.
