Hello,
I saw Yakindu 4 was released and I signed to test it but I saw there is no plugin version for Eclipse. Do you plan to make it available also it for beta-testing?
thanks
michele

Hi Andreas,
I think the version in site   https://updates.yakindu.com/sct/releases/   is the standalone version. Is it right?
If the answer would be YES, is there some way of downloading the plugin version?

Thanks!

Eduardo

Hi Eduardo,
this is the plugin version, you can install it in any Eclipse IDE.
Best, Andreas

Hi Andreas, I was trying to upgrade to yakindu v4 on STM32CubeIDE on Win10, from a prior operative 3.5x version (from http://updates.yakindu.com/statecharts/releases).

I couldn´t upgrade, so I uninstalled yakindu to make a clean install from https://updates.yakindu.com/sct/releases/. It didn't work either.

So, I uninstalled ans reinstalled STM32CubeIDE and tryied to install yakindu with the same result.

Actually I am in a worst situation because I can´t install any version.

I append a screenshot and a error file, just in case.

Any suggestion?

Thanks,

Eduardo

Hello,
I had also problems installing the new version. I'm running Yakindu 3.5.9 in Eclipse CDT 2019-12 (4.14.0) and because I'm pointing to that specific release of Yakindu I'm not able to update it. I disinstalled it from Eclipse "Details" window and I then installed the new version from the Eclipse install window: it install regularly without requiring any other plugin update.
After the update I have a project warning

and I'm no more able to open Yakindu statecharts

and I also faced problems with the project .c files that are no more recognized as c files.
I tested back and just disinstalling Yakindu 3.5 I don't get these errors: statecharts are obviously no more readable but the project is fine.
thanks
Michele

Hey tuttoaldoc,

I think you can't install YAKINDU SCT into a 2019-12 Eclipse, as they are some major changes. One of them is the new required Java 11 version instead of Java 8.
Could you please try using a clean 2020-09 CDT and install SCT into this runtime. This should work.

Greetings,
Robin

Unfortunatelly I have to check with my ITD to move to JRE 11 and I don't know when I will be able to install it.

Strangely I downloaded also the Yakindu standalone program and it runs fine with my Jre 1.8.

You can try using Java 8 using 2020-09, but I'm not sure if it will work.

Hey Eduardo,

I had no problems installing YAKINDU SCT via update site into STM32CubeIDE.

I've deleted the old version of STM32CubeIDE, downloaded and installed v4 and added SCT via update site.
