For anyone out there that is still interested.  I tried out a 4070 today on a new build with Softimage/Redshift using 3.028 and it worked fine.

Hi,
I tried to install Redshift 3.0.46 with a 4080 in Windows 11 but the Softimage option doesn't appear in the dccs list, has that occurred to you too?

Hi,

the latest version for softimage is 3.0.45. The 3.0.46 doesn’t have the installer option for xsi anymore.

I settled in the 3.02x area.  I noticed some issues popped up in the final xsi versions.

Do you remember what these issues were?

Btw: I always wondered if if would be possible to “slip” newer versions of redshift somehow into an old installation, using the 3.0.45 as a base installation for xsi. New parameters wouldn’t be exposed because of an non-updated xsi addon. Optimisation stuff inside the redshift core files, on the other hand could perhaps work?

I might give that a try. :)

One was small, it was not saving .pic files to disk, which I kept forgetting to change it, and I would render nothing.
The other was some nasty artifacting that I could not get rid of without turning one of the sampling checkboxes on or off in which sent the render times up significantly.  It looks like I use 3.028, I not sure what I am missing feature-wise by not using the final version.
