qt creator + winsparkle

Hey can any one guide me to integrating winsparkle with qt creator project. Thanks in advance.

Hey my program build and all but i get following error :

WinSparkle : Executable dosen't have the required VERSIONINFO resource: The specified resource type cannot be found in the image file.

I am running in debug mode in qt creator.

Please help. I need the project to fly off urgently.

Sorry, did you *read* the error? Because it tells you exactly what's wrong -- your executable doesn't have version information embedded. So either do that (a really quick search on Google or MSDN would tell you all you need to know about VERSIONINFO) or use the WinSparkle C API to set the version explicitly.

Hello Slavik,

I am actually very new to these stuff. Also I did ended up adding the information to executable file. I have one more query. I have hosted my app-cast on an Apache server. The program asked me for automatic update once. But changing the version in app-cast does nothing. Also how does win-sparkle update the program, do i need to upload a patch file for my program on server?
