Anyone know someone who can teach me to kitesurf at Waikanae? I've done a few lessons and am starting to get up. I'll be in Paekak next week.

Hey Edward, not sure I can teach you a lot I#m still learning myself and have to practice going upwind etc., but I plan to be at Waikanae this Weekend with my kite and practice, so if you are around give me a shout.

Hi Klaus - thanks for replying. I was only in Kapiti for a week and am now home in Sydney. I got a lesson from Glen Butcher who lives in Raumati - it was all going well until I crashed his kite (admittedly I was not all that in control and 2 metres in the air) and ripped it.

I you need any lessons, I'd thoroughly recommend him, but it sounds like you're beyond that stage.

Thanks for the offer of help - much appreciated.

Happy kiting.
