Hello,

I have a Vantage Pro 2 station with Weewx 3.7.1

Actually i have archive records each 2 s.

I want to have only records every minute.

I am not sure how do to do that.
I didn't find configuration of interval records in the station itself.

And in the section [StdArchive] record generation is set to hardware.

Any idea ?

Thank you Andrew,

I have this result :

Using Vantage driver version 3.0.10 (weewx.drivers.vantage)
Querying...
Davis Vantage EEPROM settings:
    CONSOLE TYPE:                   VantagePro2
    CONSOLE FIRMWARE:
      Date:                         Dec 11 2012
      Version:                      3.12

    CONSOLE SETTINGS:
      Archive interval:             3600 (seconds)
      Altitude:                     156 (meter)
      Wind cup type:                large
      Rain bucket type:             0.01 inches
      Rain year start:              1
      Onboard time:                 2018-01-10 11:19:08

So why Weewx data archive contains data each 2 seconds ?
I don't understand.

Perhaps if you attached the log from start of weewx up to after the first couple of archive records and perhaps also the weewx.conf (with passwords removed of course) wemay be able to shed some light on your issues.

The Vantage does output LOOP data at 2 second intervals, but this should not be being added to the archive table - although depending on your settings could cause an update to the daily tables.

Can you also attach a dump of the archive table for say the latest 10 archive records - it may shed even more light on things!!

Sorry I cant help more - need more information and greater clarification to work with!!

Hello, Jacques

NB: there is a difference between LOOP data, which the VP2 emits every 2 seconds, and archive data, which it stores and emits every 1,  5, 10, 15, 30, 60 or 120 minutes. It cannot emit archive records so often as every 2 seconds.

From your run of wee_device, it appears that your VP2 is set to 3600 seconds, or one hour. What are you seeing to suggest that it is archiving data every 2 seconds?

wee_device --set-interval=1

I might add that a one minute archive interval is rather short. If you have a slow machine it may not give enough time to run all the reports, particularly if you have a lot of them. Most people are happier with 5 minutes.
