Hi all,
I thought I'd give the Responsive skin a go as it looks very nice ad I downloaded the zip file from https://github.com/dcapslock/weewx-responsive-skin.  I am a bit stumped about the ausservices and aussearch extensions mentioned in the skin.conf.  I am in Australia so I have a use for the Australian forecasts but the skin.conf mentions:

[AusSearch]
# This section is for managing configuration for aus search
# Your weewx setup will need to have the ausservices and
# aussearch extensions

I cannot find anything regarding what needs to be done to add these extensions.

Any ideas?

Hi Peter,

The Australian extensions are not documnted as til yet there has not been much interest. Also, without having a good test case it is hard to know how to format the documentation. If you want to get this going, email me at wea...@carlingfordweather.sydney and I will walk you through it, while at the same time using what we discuss to generate some doco.

Cheers

Hi Darryn,

I'm certainly interested in the Australian forecast abilities and the skin at http://carlingfordweather.sydney/ looks pretty good too. So if you can add me to your ' walk through ' discussion, it would be appreciated.

OK. I had a brief time this Saturday afternoon to publish the aussearch.oy to GitHub as well as write a quick Wiki page. See https://github.com/dcapslock/weewx-responsive-skin/wiki/Australian-'Search'-Extensions

One reason I held back till now is that implementing appTemp was a bit complicated as it was an engine extension. Now that appTemp is available in version 3.5, the Feels Like component is quite straightforward.

Thanks Darren,
I'll have a read of your documentation and can hopefully work it out.  I had already managed to track down the correct BOM XML's that I require for Adelaide before I got stumped on implementing the extensions.  I did manage to get your skin working without the extensions (http://yada1.ddns.net/weewx/index.html).

Cheers,
Peter

Looking good. If you find the right files for Adelaide metro, it should be pretty much a turnkey operation replacing the base tags in the template. Let me know how you go. Perhaps we can work to break out the forecast page and index include files and create different files for each Aus metro area.

The SA warnings should be easy to do as well.
