Wazuh Agent Installlation Conflicts on Centos Stream 9

Dear forumer, 

I had installed Wazuh dashboard on my Linux machine using this command

curl -sO https://packages.wazuh.com/4.9/wazuh-install.sh && sudo bash ./wazuh-install.sh -a

I can access the wazuh dashboard using https://localhost:443. I follow the instructions here to deploy wazuh agent for my Centos stream 9. 

When issued the command yum install wazuh-agent, i get conflicts mesages on console. 

Error:

I can see different versions of Wazuh in your log.


Compatibility between the Wazuh agent and the Wazuh manager is guaranteed when the Wazuh manager's version is later than or equal to that of the Wazuh agent.

Uninstall the agent from your endpoint

yum remove wazuh-agent

systemctl disable wazuh-agent

systemctl daemon-reload

Can you run these commands?

Uninstall the Wazuh agent

yum remove wazuh-agent
systemctl disable wazuh-agent

systemctl daemon-reload

Install  the Wazuh agent
curl -o wazuh-agent-4.9.1-1.x86_64.rpm https://packages.wazuh.com/4.x/yum/wazuh-agent-4.9.1-1.x86_64.rpm && sudo WAZUH_MANAGER='127.0.0.1' WAZUH_AGENT_GROUP='default' WAZUH_AGENT_NAME='my_agent' rpm -ihv wazuh-agent-4.9.1-1.x86_64.rpm

Replace 127.0.0.1 with the manager IP


Start the agent
sudo systemctl daemon-reload

sudo systemctl enable wazuh-agent

sudo systemctl start wazuh-agent

If you are still not able to install the agent following this

Download the agent using this link and copy it to your endpoint

https://packages.wazuh.com/4.x/yum/wazuh-agent-4.9.2-1.x86_64.rpm

After installing the agent update the agent IP from the configuration before starting the agent.

/var/ossec/etc/ossec.conf
