1. With effect from October 2012, Widows will be authorized 50% of
the total authorization of the deceased person

a) Widow of an Officer & Eqvl - 05 Bottles

b) Widow of a JCO & Eqvl - 03 Bottles

c) Widow of an NCO & OR - 02 Bottles

2. In line with Army HQ orders the CIMS system has been upgraded.
The excess Liquor drawn from 01 OCT 12 by the card holders will be
considered as liquor drawn in advance and deducted from the following
month accordingly. E.g:

If a widow (of NCO or OR ) had drawn two months liquor as per
earlier authorization (3 bottles each for Oct 12 & Nov 12), the
system will show her liquor quota in Dec 12 as NIL. That means as
per the new order which is effective from 01 Oct 12 ,the individual
had drawn 2 bottles as advance and the same is deducted from Dec12
liquor quota.

In case officer's widow, who had taken the liquor quota for
Dec 12 (3 bottles) in the month of Nov 12 as advance will get two
additional bottles in the month of Dec 12.(revised quota), however she
cannot claim the balance of the revised quota for Oct 12 & Nov 12 ,
which will be considered as lapsed liquor quota.

LIMITATION OF LIQUOR :-

Officers : Scotch whisky permitted up to 50% of the entitlement

JCO & Eqvl : Not more than three whiskey bottles including one Scotch
whisky of the entitlement

Others : Not more than TWO whisky bottles including one scotch
whisky of the entitlement
