Hi Folks,

Is there anyway to allow accent marks when using the TurboVNC java client? I am using a brazilian portuguese keyboard (abnt2) and I am not able to use characters like á é í ó ú ã õ â ô. These characters are usually typed by a combination of two keys, first the accent key and then the vowel key. But when I type ~ in the java TurboNC cliente, the ~ character shows instead of waiting for the next key so that an ã or õ can be shown. Is there any way to change this behavior? I can even try to patch the code to do it (if possible) if you could give me some hints on which part of the code takes care of that...

Cheers,

Always specify your client O/S. Although the viewer is written in Java,
there are numerous differences in how various client O/S's handle key
mapping (among other things.)

Are you testing the 2.1.2 release candidate build?
(https://turbovnc.sourceforge.io/vnc.nightly) There are some bug fixes
relative to 2.1.1 that relate to the transmission of dead keys, so
please retest with the latest viewer. I have specifically tested
numerous international keyboard layouts in the past week and have found
no issues with dead keys, although there were some issues in the 2.1.1
viewer. If you can still reproduce the problem with the 2.1.2 RC build,
then I'll investigate.

I'll test it and get back in touch!
