Copy/Paste to Trelby from MS Word?

Hello everyone, I am new to the group and have a question I hope can be fulfilled.

Would it be possible to copy and paste a line (Dialog) of script from MS Word into Trelby?

I can highlight the text in MS Word and select the Copy but when I try to paste the line into Trelby it does not perform the function.

Additionally, I realize I can simply retype the text but would like the latter feature for ease of use.

Please, reply if you have a way (method) to perform the above - Thank you in advance.

Best method would be to save the word file as a .txt file, and import it into trelby using the import option. Or system paste in the edit menu.

Hello. I am not able to open my trelby file since it showing line error. i tried to open it in word or notebad but it doesnt appear in screenplay format. it is coming as a code. please help me out. it is my feature film's script.

Trelby is a free program that is a true gift to the writer that has all of the basic features of a full screenwriting software.

The aspect of Copy/Paste from another program is a difficulty that cannot be performed easily.

Truthfully, in the end I purchased Final Draft since it is an industry standard that will prevent any formatting problems.

Currently, version 10 is available for $169.99 with a free V11 download when available.

Indeed, Final Draft is the best scriptwriting software i ever knew, i used it some year ago... But the price is too much for most screenwriter. (Sorry my poor english i'm french).

There is a paste system option on right click. I use it frequently.there was a time before I found it. trelby has an internal copy/paste. I wondered the reason, but there must be one that he did not use the system call as default.
