My electric steps will not operate. I checked the motor and it works, but cannot determine what the problem is. I found a number on the module 1902102 but can't find a source for replacement.
Any ideals, as the steps will not close and I am scheduled to leave Oct. 22nd.

Start the engine and see if the steps retract. Also, try altering the on off switch for the stairs.

I tried starting the engine no change. I also tried replacing the small switch at the door and no change.
I previously checked the motor and it works.

Try cleaning the contacts on the door hinge area. There should be at least 2 pins on the frame and door. These provide power to latch and door magnet. The magnet is on the bottom of the door and a sensor tells the the steps to retract. I assume your batteries are fully charged.

OK, so far we know that the motor works.
And that you have checked the door switch.

When you put power to the motor, do the steps move at all?
Some motors are reverseable meaning if positive is fed to one wire then the motor spins In 1 direction.
If positive is fed to the other wire, the motor spins in the other direction.
Can you check to see if the motor spins in both directions?

When the motor spins do you see if the steps are "trying" to move????
Have you lubricated the step joints? (Meaning the side rail joints where they extend and retract). Sometimes these joints get stuck and require a WD40 or silicone lube treatment.
Can you manually pull the steps open? (I know, but just asking. LOL)

Hope one of my questions might help figure out the problem.

Motor works in both directions. Have lubricated all joints, pins, etc.
Started engine and steps did not move.
Batteries are fully charged.

I will check the contacts/ pins on the door hinge area.

On mine it was the control module that had failed. Parts can be purchased from Lippert Components and some parts were available on Ebay.

I do not have access to the coach and unfortunately do not remember the part number.
