Traceur and Typescript

Hi, from my understanding AtScript will be deprecated and TypeScript will be used instead, so my question is, will the transition be smooth to typescript or does traceur require some refactoring to work with TS 1.5?

I don't think there is any difference. TS has some non ES6 features
but as long Traceur only has ES6 plus Angular features so going from
Traceur to TypeScript should be smooth.

Thanks Erik for your answer but something I still don't understand, is traceur going to be deprecated for typescript compiler or is traceur going to process typescript source code like it does for current ES6+Angular annotations?

Traceur is not going to be deprecated. Traceur is not an Angular
project so their decision to use TypeScript instead of Traceur has no
impact on this project.

Traceur will continue to support type annotations and we will most
likely remove the Angular annotations in favor of the decorator
proposal which has been brought forward to TC39.
