Windows 10, newest version 1.14.3.29387.

- Right click folder, pick SVN Commit... from context menu
- Commit menu opens with list of changed files
- Right click on a modified .CS text file
- Choose "Show differences as unified diff"
- Unified diff inspector opens, then immediately closes again

This is intermittent, but once it starts happening it will keep crashing / force-closing consistently for all files for a few minutes or hours. Then will start working again, even with those same files in the same state.

"Compare with base" never fails so I use that instead when it's acting up.

Happens for a few minutes/hours every other day since Feb when I was still running an older version of TortoiseSVN. Still happening after uninstalling then installing newest version 1.14.3.29387. I think I've seen it in multiple projects, with different types of text files, and maybe even while using TortoiseGIT but can't confirm.

I suspect it's something with my particular machine, but I don't know how to start debugging this. Are there crash logs? No other programs acting weird, no correlations I can find.

I use this feature frequently on all files before committing, so any help is appreciated!

settings dialog->advanced->ScintillaDirect2D set the value to false.
then check if that solves your problem. If it does, you have to update your graphics driver to a newer version.

Also you can enable debug messages in settings dialog->advanced->DebugOutputString (set to true), and then you can view the debug messages with the dbgview tool from sysinternals (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/debugview)

Also, if you get a crash dialog, send the crash report. After sending it you're browser is opened with an url of your report. Send me that url so I can check the crash dump.

Thanks! I'll let you know if I capture anything useful with dbgview, then try the ScintillaDirect2D fix.

Looks like my nvidia drivers are out of date, from early March. Also I'm using SLI. I've never seen an actual crash dialog, the window just appears to open then close.
