import of n-quads into workspace does not finish

Hi,

i would like to import Linked Open Vocabularies (LOV) that are represented in N-quads, so i can query them with SPARQL locally.

I downloaded it from http://lov.okfn.org/lov.nq.gz, unzipped it and import it through "File/Import/Import RDF files into a new TDB".
Import of the file "lov.nq" started, but TBC-ME became not responding. I let it run 30 minutes but it did not finish.

Is there any workaround of this issue or is there any alternative way to query n-quads locally using SPARQL ?

Hi Miroslav,

how big is the file, i.e. how many triples estimated?

I am not aware of another way of importing nquads into TopBraid right now. You could try some 3rd party tool to create separate files for each of the named graphs, and then copy those files into the TopBraid workspace.

I don't know why it takes so long - the amount is triples is not huge at all.

We have better NQuads support on our list for a future version. Until then, even if the import would succeed, there is little you could do with the results (TopBraid requires one connector file per named graph unless they are all starting with the same URI prefix, which must be equivalent to the base URI of the TDB).

For now, I suggest turning this into NTriples or Turle to at least see the data.
