So I have put a bunch of media into my TiddlyWiki(s) on purpose.
Things like pictures and sounds all directly into the single HTML file.

Is there a way to export the data and create "_canonical_uri: tiddlers" with the same name and file type.
That way you can reduce the overall size of the TiddlyWiki and keep the media together at the same time?

I am trying to create a freestanding version that has all the files included for a single file download.
Then I want to create a 2 file system with 1 TW5 file and 1 ZIP file of all the media files, to reduce the TW5 and also save some downloading.

Thanks for your help on this.

I just noticed I asked this here a while back.
You can't 'export' the data but if you know where your data is you can switch it over.
You can convert the files from embedded to _canonical_uri's.
Here is the solution that I used from the TiddlyWiki Group.

I was able to reduce the file size from 16mb all the way down to just under 3mb.

Thanks again Tobias and BJ for your help on this.

Rich,

Sounds amazing and extremely useful if I am following the related threads and what it does correctly. Is there anyway you could provide a working example to checkout?

Thanks,

Crap I should have screen recorded that.
Finally found a screen capture for the PC that was free and worked very well.
Most PC Screencast cost money or were virus magnets if they were free, I am now using, Open Broadcaster Software.
Found it from reading a YouTube comment, it is amazing.

I will try to grab my BLOATED old version and then screencast how I trimmed it down using Tobias's tools.
