Hi All,

In Classic TW there is a Close All Button and Close Other But Not This Button, where did they go?

Also in Classic was a New Journal Tiddler Button, I presume a customised version of New Blank Tiddler? Where did this go?

How can I get these buttons back?

I have never created javascript or a TW macro before but if that is what it takes I am willing to try?

Help much appreciated.

Many Thanks,

Josh.

Hi Josh

The "close all" button is at the bottom of the "open" tab in the sidebar; the button is right at the bottom, and is quite pale until you mouse over it.

"Close others" is available internally but not included in the default templates yet. See here for an example of a TW5 that uses it:

There will be a new journal facility soon.

Best wishes

Jeremy

Thanks Jeremy that clears things up, I had forgotten about an internal version which makes perfect sense.

As there are several requests for a journal, I've created something which might help.

http://tiddlystuff.tiddlyspot.com search for "dateTimeMacro".

Hi Stephen,
I'm quite new to TW5, so I'm just trying to recreate some of the old functionality. I can't seem to get this macro to work.
I've got two browser windows open, and I'm dragging tiddlers from your site to mine. I've added LetWidget (the js and the explanation), but I still get "Undefined widget 'let'". What else do I need to make it work?
Regards
Matthew

Just the letwidget or also the newtiddler? That one is of course also required.

And then you need to save and reload.

Additional hint: the let widget is not required. You can use the built-in setwidget instead.

HA! Reload - that's what I forgot. Silly me. Thank you!

Vielen Dank!

OK, next questions. The button works now, and I can create journal entries. But when I do, the creator name is set to your name. How can I change that?

Can I view it somewhere? Did you try to create your own skeleton? My name is not hard-coded anywhere. So maybe it's because you used my JournalSkeleton.

It's not online, I'm afraid.

JournalSkeleton just contains "$(text)$" and nothing else. It is tagged with what looks like a blank tag. It has you as the creator as well.

Didn't I just wrote that you used my JournalSkeleton? Create your own and the creator will be you.

That worked. Thanks again for your help and patience with a new user.
