images in tiddlers, safari on os x

I am not sure if this has been addressed previously but I can not find any reference to this.

I am trying to insert images into tiddlers, using the [img[filename.png]] tag.

But the image does not display.

I have also tried the transclusion method but that also doesn't work.

Safari 5.1.10, os x 10.6.8 tiddlywiki5

Anyone got any clues?

Yep, that's what I copied.

I have stored the image as a png file in the same folder as the TW file. If I make it a http link to the file but not using the [img tag just as the http link as text, then clicking on the link shows the file but I can not get the image to display inline in the tiddler, which is what I'd like.
