Hi all

Played around with an adaptation of Notestorm for 5.1.5. I did up a file on the biblical book of Philemon using what I came up with.

Feel free to grab anything that you find helpfiul.

Dear Dave,

I like the design, especially the topic tiddler creation and ideas.

It hadn't occurred to me until reading "Chiasm" that the bible is designed as a hypertext. Your TW bible extracts are in a noble tradition!

best wishes

Alex

Very clean, nice!

I'd perhaps fiddle a bit more with the hover-colors of your buttons, i.e. remove that light-blue background highlight and make the text-color go darker instead.

Also, not sure how you implemented those buttons, but I would personally have them the same color as the core, and before the "more" dropdown... but that's just my 2cts.

Best wishes, Tobias.

Great Job! Everybody loves Philemon. Now explain Jude*  ;-)

Have you considered making the tiddlers modal? To me it's somewhat unintuitive to have to close a tiddler to go back to the list of tiddlers. Having the tiddler take over the middle would be more natural these days. Make it into a wizard, and then the student can pop from card to card (tiddlers) without having to go back to the TOC each time.

Mark

* Like, what's with those apocryphal quotes?

"it's somewhat unintuitive to have to close a tiddler to go back to the list of tiddlers."

I'd second that, and the idea of having the tiddler take over the middle, become a wizard, and pop from card to card.

Then add keyboard shortcuts :P

It's a clean design and the content is approachable and easy to share with the right audience. Thankyou!

Perhaps all the links under...

...are pointing to an old location.

Best wishes, Tobias.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

1. Everyone, I will experiment with the modal idea over Christmas break. Interesting.

2. Tobias, the links are to future files. This is only the first file I have created. I already was planning on removing those links for the moment. Actually they are in there for my sake, not for others. They are there so that I will be methodical about file names.

3. Mark S, Here are two articles I wrote on Jude. http://www.giffmex.org/blog/?p=5, which contains my answer to your question, and http://www.giffmex.org/blog/?p=149. But eventually I will take you up on your challenge to do a TW on that book.

4. Tobias, I always forget about doing CSS for hover colors. A blind spot of mine. I will try to get to that. I didn't understand your comment "Also, not sure how you implemented those buttons, but I would personally have them the same color as the core, and before the "more" dropdown... but that's just my 2cts." To which buttons are you referring? The new here buttons? If so, I made them a different color from the default viewtoolbar button so they would be quick to spot and use. Otherwise it was a long row of similarly colored icons. Also, they are before (to the left of) the more dropdown in the toolbar. Not sure what you are saying.

Blessings all,

Dave

As I hit "Post", I realised I meant after. :)

Just as a matter of curiosity, have you done a wiki on Luke and is it something you'd be willing to share?

Hi Stephen, no I haven't done anything in English on Luke. What I have is in Spanish. Blessings.
