First off let me say how much I enjoy using TiddlyWiki5 its such a convenient way of taking notes with a bit of html & js flare.

Is there currently a feature which allows you to slide through a list of ordered/sorted tiddlers like a slideshow? Perhaps a tiddler-frame with forwards and backwards buttons that take you to the next or last tiddlers in a sorted list of filtered-presentation tiddlers.

Also, I am be interested in making a TW5-based app for Windows 8 with inking support. Is this legally allowable? what are the licenses associated with TW5-file usage?

Hi Blake

Great, glad you're enjoying it.

I've done a couple of slideshow-like examples:

I do plan to port reveal.js to TW5 at some point:

TW5 is published under a BSD license which basically lets you do anything you like with the software, but asks for an attribution. The goal of licensing TiddlyWiki in this way is to remove any obstacles to people adopting it.

Best wishes

Jeremy.

Thank you for your time and the very detailed response.

The slideshow-like examples you have done will work beautifully for my purposes. I look forward to using the reveal.js port.

As far as the Win8 app, I will be sure to ask for an attribution when I get around to making the app.

-Blake

Dear All,

Its interesting to see the focus on Academia and Business here. TW is a personal non-linear notebook at a high level of abstraction, considering it a tool for research is useful.  The more academic and business related use cases the better. One of the problems I had when working at a business school (academic and business) was that the people i was working with thought i was armed with a fun technology for a "dabbler" : serious people would use Powerpoint, Word and Excels for day to day tasks, while specialist annotating tools would be used for annotating and coding video and audio recordings.

Sir, may I ask what happened to the idea of this integration? A couple of minutes ago I asked Mohammad something similar the same here: https://groups.google.com/d/msg/TiddlyWiki/GHbwtMIrA3I/eXlbUyWMAAAJ regarding his TiddlyShow.

Best wishes
