[TW5] First page splash screen?

Long time TW user here, I'd be lost without it, really enjoying TW5 now.

Question - what do people use for a splash screen, or first page content when TW is first fired up?  I've got nothing, just the search box and a list of the new tiddlers on the right.  Just for my own satisfaction I'd like something that looks a bit nicer and perhaps has some functionality - latest updated tiddlers, new tiddlers, most often looked up tiddlers - I think you get the idea.

Any suggestions or examples to point me to?

It really depends on what you are using it for, for my reference site I have a list of options for what are hopefully useful things for users. http://inmysocks.tiddlyspot.com/.

For the wiki I am using trying to build a blog or social media thing I just drop people into it. http://ooktech.com/jed/externalbrain/

The wikis I use for work aren't online, but they generally list the last few most recently changed tiddlers and the most recent notes I have left myself.

In the control panel you can set a list of "Default tiddlers" that are displayed when TiddlyWiki first starts up. I typically have a tiddler called "Dashboard" that contains my most often used links, and then put it at the top of the default tiddlers.
