[TW5] Reminders & Tables from the past

Hi everyone,

I am a longtime lurker of this forum, but seldom surface. I was an avid user of TWC but have slipped into pretty much not using TiddlyWiki at all since TW5 came out of beta.

One of the biggest reasons is TW5's lack of anything like the TWC ReminderMacros (coupled with the Calendar). For my workflow it was terrific. Are there any plans for it to be introduced to TW5?

The second most missed feature of TWC for me is the ease of using tables and the ability to easily customize the colors, fonts, & layout. I have fooled around with tables in TW5 and find it much too difficult to create different & colorful tables on the fly. Any chance that will change in the near future?

I'll admit that I haven't put in nearly the time to TW5 as I did with TWC but for me the learning curve is really steep and I do not understand many of the concepts. I want to use it but can't seem to get over the hurdle.

I'm also looking for reminders in TW5.  I would love to have a simple reminder syntax that upon time out would set a tag of my choosing.  

I use the "Getting Started" page to by default show all tiddlers marked by the tag "dashboard".  Each time the TW5 is opened or refreshed, those items pop to my attention.  If reminders have the ability to auto-tag tiddlers, all alarming or expired items could be pushed to the surface and color-coded by tag-based CSS (kind of like conditional formatting in MS Excel) creating a heat map to visually prioritize tasks/tiddlers.  Any other formatting is possible with a combination of tag queries and change in expiration timestamp.

I would love to hear your thoughts,
