Hi

I would like to create a simple button to toggle revealing and hiding some text.

I will be putting this in a tiddler tagged $:/tags/ViewTemplate so that it is visible on all tiddlers. But I don't want the two button approach that is in the documentation for the reveal widget. I would like one button that opens and closes it.

The buttons for TiddlerInfo and Edit preview are too hard for me to figure out how to adapt for my use. I know there is something simple. But for some reason I just can't find it.

Can someone post something here?

Dave

Never mind, I got it:

<$button popup="StateTiddler">Related tiddlers</$button>
<$reveal type="nomatch" state="StateTiddler" text="">

</$reveal>

Then again, is there a way to do this without having to use the StateTiddler? I am finding that the reveal has a long lag.

Hi

I've been playing around with TW5 for a couple of days - I've posted my efforts here: http://wills.tiddlyspot.com/

There are a few ways I've been experimenting with for displaying tiddlers as sliders. Perhaps have a look at 'WikiText Help' - available from the drop down help menu (? on the RHS of the page controls.) There are a couple of other techniques shown on the left sidebar.

Hope this helps

Hi

Pleasure. I've used your 'Notes' (TWC) for some time - hope this helps develop a new 'Notes5' :-)

I would love to check your wiki. Unfortunately I have to wait until I arrive work since your theme is impossible to see in a mobile device.

Hi

Sorry - I have been developing my wiki on a laptop with Firefox, along the lines of the vanilla TW5. I haven't tested (and don't intend to test) on other devices, or even on operating systems other than Linux. It seems to work with Chrome, but has some issues with Opera (the styles need tweaking and Fontawesome doesn't function.)

Some of the techniques might work though.

regards
