FA5 in Links/Visited Links

Has anyone used Font Awesome in a link like this:

<a class="tc-tiddlylink-external" href="linktomyinstagrampage" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">{{$:/images/fa5/brands/instagram}}</a>

The goal is to wrap the image in a link to my Instagram page. It works but it changes the image to the reverse (black on white) once the page has been visited. I'd like it to not do that. Even setting visited link colors doesn't seem to work.

Thoughts?

I pasted your code directly into a tiddler, then pointed the href to a page, and it works fine for me.

Perhaps you are using some unique backgrounds or images that are different from mine.

If you want to change the visited link characteristics, you can add a stylesheet to your TW or even add styles directly within your tiddler by adding a style tag at the top.

Thanks for taking a look and for the other suggestions. I don't think I'm doing anything different to the background but I'll take another look.
