That's a strange one.  `npm start` is running bash to invoke run_server.sh.  So it kind of looks like node is in your path from cmd.exe, but not in your path once you run bash.  I'm not really sure why that would be.  You can try just running bash alone and investigating (e.g. try running node and npm from there).
