Can Tasker cause media audio output to go to a Bluetooth headset?

There are several apps that can handle the audio, including:
BTMono https://market.android.com/details?id=com.bedoig.BTmono_Donate
Super BT Mono https://market.android.com/details?id=com.steven.supermonofroyopro
Bluetooth Switcher https://market.android.com/details?id=com.mwls.btswitch

But I don't know how to make Tasker cause one of these apps to switch
the audio. Merely loading the app has no effect; one must also tap
the 'On' button in the app's UI.

Two of these apps have a widget that toggles the audio switch on/off,
but I don't know how to make Tasker simulate tapping a widget.

I'm using Tasker version 1.0.2u3m, Android 2.2 and an LG Optimus V
(VM670).

I aim to route audio to my bluetooth headset when it's connected and
Android is docked in my car. So, I can hear Google Navigator voice
directions, but other people in the car won't be annoyed by them.

You can't simulate taps with a standard ROM.

Are they actual widgets or just shortcuts ?

If widgets, it's possible you can simulate the message they send to
their parent app (action/component intent action), but you'd have to
look in the system log to see what they are sending first.

I've had a couple of requests from Tasker users to add extended Tasker
support in BTmono. Been meaning to get around to it, but have had
zero free time lately.

Since Tasker can already handle all the scenarios in which you might
want BTmono to take some action, there's no need for me to reinvent
the wheel.

Just awakening this old topic.
BeDoig was kind enough to add the support of enabling/disabling BT mono using an intent in tasker.
However I was wondering if there is or will be a native tasker support for this.
I mainly need a toggle function and not separate on/off functions.

Thank you.

For those (like me) who couldn't find the intent values to use for BTMono, just click Menu/Help in the BTMono app and it explains it. Here are the instructions.

Can you somehow control or monitor from tasker the state of the bluetooth volume? I was just alerting all available volume variables and changing the volume from the bluetooth handsfree and any of the volume variables changed. I was just trying to open some get voice dialong from the button, but maybe that's impossible? I have the Samsung BHM15t00 handset.. and would like to use that because of vibrating option. But maybe I will buy some cheap stereo-hf with many of media buttons .. to play with them.

Action Audio / BT Voice Volume ? As regards the original reason for this thread: Phone / Bluetooth Voice may be it ?

Yes, I was thinking is there any similiar BT voice volume variable as those %VOLS and others, I didn't see any change in them if I adjusted bt voice volume..

But my case solved by launching task when btmono is reconnecting. No need to grab any other buttons. Now I just press the button in hf and btmono is reconnecting and I can do my getvoice task then.

It worked little while, but not anymore. I cannot understand what have changed that much that the "btmono is reconnecting" doesn't trigger profile app for btmono anymore.

I checked running applications and if I toggle btmono by the widget, no respond in tasker, but is dis/appearing in running applications. Same with the handsfree button, but nothing happens in tasker. If I start the btmono by launcher, it's noticed by tasker. Somehow it changed, maybe I upgraded in to kitkiat 4.4.2 in between or something weird.

You know how to use the speakers phone when for example receive a notification, and sound system, like lock, unlock, whatsapp sound when you send a message etc ?

Because when i connect my Nexus 5 to my Radio in my Car (KitKat 4.4.4) and i receive a notification, i heard the sound in my Car and music stop, then re-play.

my N5 used to do the same thing on KitKat, but after upgrading, on both Lollipop and Marshmallow, it now just temporarily lowers the music volume while playing notification sounds. Upgrading my be and easier solution to your problem, and your daily phone use would also benefit from the much improved Android operating system.

Nexus 5 is on marshmallow, radio in KitKat... so?
