Hi,

I have set up a profile that is active during a certain period in the day. I see the profile turns green when the start time was matched.

This profile has a task linked to it, which is Calls --> Block call and I have entered a specific number it should match.

However, when I call my phone from this specific number, my phone still rings instead of blocking the call.

See screenshot of the set up profile.

Can you advise on what I'm doing wrong? Appreciate it!

From the user guide.........

Call Block

Block OUTGOING calls to the specified matched number(s).

If no Number is specified, all calls will be blocked.

If Info is checked, all diversions and blocks will be displayed after the action.

To stop blocking,use Call Revert.

Note: you can't block *and* divert a particular pattern.

Matching occurs in the same way as for event contexts, see the Event Edit Activity help page.

Examples:

0193* - any number starting with 0193

12345/56789 - either of the numbers 12345 or 56789

Hi Rich,

Thanks for your response. Outgoing, right.. I guess I've missed that. Confusing though, cause on http://tasker.wikidot.com/block-calls 'blocking calls' refers to 'incoming calls'.

However, if this is not the way to reject a specific number during certain hours, can you point me into the direction of what is?

Cheers!

ps. Interestingly, when the profile is running and I call (thus placing an outgoing call) that specific number, the call is not blocked either.... So something is not right I'm assuming.

Ok, I found out the right way:

Add the 'Event' 'Phone Ringing' and then add task 'End call' and specify number. Also then add 'Time' and specify time slot.

Only last thing that bugs me is that prior to 'ending the call' the phone rings for about a millisecond. Very short, but probably enough to wake you up, rendering the Task useless.

Any ideas on how resolving this?

Make a profile that changes your ringtone to a silent ringtone during those hours.

Interestingly enough, that is not allowed/available on my HTC One X (??). See screenshot.
