This is VERY annoying - recently Tasker has started causing a persistent "alarm" icon in my notification shade.  How can I stop this?  It's driving me nuts!  Please see the attached screenshot for an example of what I mean.  I've proven that Tasker is the culprit...as soon as I remove Tasker from my device, the notification goes away.  I re-add Tasker, import my backup, and the icon reappears.

Hi there. If Tasker has the Preferences > Monitor > Use Reliable Alarms option enabled it will use system alarms to make sure that it will trigger at the correct times. If you don't need that and don't like Tasker setting the alarms you can disable that option.

Hope this helps!

OR if you do want to use Reliable Alarm, e.g. you have time context that doesn't work consistently without it, you can keep Reliable Alarm enabled and use the Status Bar Icons action to hide the "alarm" icon.
