Hi Everyone
Does anyone know if Peak Boxes are discontinuing their timber boxes please and just making the Gen#2 in the future?  They only seem to be showing the new versions online.

We've been trying to contact them without success so far!

Thank you
Ginny

Can’t answer your question Ginny, but what I do know is that the gen 2 boxes have slightly different dimensions and a different wall fixing to the gen 1 boxes.

Yes, they have stopped supplying the plywood boxes entirely, I was in touch last week and have ordered a few of the new version

I wanted to buy some of the gen 2 boxes to future proof my gen 1 boxes when they eventually rot, but am now worried that the different dimensions would put off existing returning birds from using the gen 2 boxes, has anyone any thoughts on this?

I would email Lester at peak boxes. They are so helpful. It may take a little while to get a response but they will get back to you I’m sure.

Many thanks for all of your responses, they're helpful.

We're just finalising ....and about to launch, a swift box display at The Wildwood Trust in Kent, with information panels, but we don't want it to be obsolete before it's started; we were going to include a timber Peak Boxes box! So the need for clarity is urgent and although we emailed Lester we haven't had a response in two weeks. I know it's such a busy time of year for everyone though!

Thank you
Ginny
