I have read that this error may be caused by a mismatch between the observed and the output.rch file, but I have checked my observed file and it is ok, considering that the number of observed days match the output.rch file, my observed data really begins on day 732, and I really have 730 observations. 

I am even running with only one variable, just to make sure I don`t have any variable with a too broad range.

I am stuck with SWAT-Cup for 2 weeks now, and i am in a critical position in my research. 

I am sending the files from the Echo folder, in case someone is able to shed light on my problem.

I really can`t see where the problem is, unfortunately.

Yes I did solve the problem.

It was due to a wrong syntax in the Observed_rch.txt and Observed.txt files.

See the Swat-Cup user manual, page 28 (6.Observation) for more details.

Hi 

This seems incomplete. This is just the header of the observed data.

You should provide the observed data below the header for the days in your simulation that you want to compare with.

I am sending an example with 9 different observed data locations in the simulation.

The manual explains how to do it.

All right, this is the Observed_rch.txt.

Please send through the Var_file_rch.txt, the SUFI_extract_rch.def, the Observed.txt and the Var_file_name.txt file as well.

Also go in your Echo folder and send through the echo_goal_fn.txt and the echo_extract_rch.txt files as well.

same error here, I will send you my files. Except that I am using a different objective function. NS with 0.5. The file crashes because the NS in the 2019 version of SWAT CUP cannot go below 0, my guess that Muhamma's goes below zero also. This is strange because it has worked in prior calibration, just that I changed to a calibration and validation period. I will take a closer look at my observed text files at the same time. I am wondering if there is a hidden code from excel that may have been copied over.

I pretty much have sent all the files that I have edited for my calibration model.

I solved this, when I typed in the new number of calibration years, I also replaced the line above it with the max error of 10%. I just used the echo file you mentioned and saw it was looking for a 245% error.

How did you solve the problem? Did you replace the "percentage of measurement error" value in "observed.txt" file by 245?

I also think, because of large data gaps, I should also run the model on a daily time step since my data has many gaps, just to improve the graph

But most likely, the problem is in your observed data files, secondly first watch tutorials and check whether you don't have missing data

it will run well

Hope you have solved the problem. In my case I calibrated and validated my model successfully. Now, I am trying to quantify my model uncertainty and perform future projections for streamflow in SWAT-CUP Premium v6.2. I just replaced the future pcp & tmp file into my SWAT-CUP directory and updated the file Cio. I also edited the No.Observed.Extract.Rch.def file with future dates and checked executables for the same. However, after running the model with the same number of simulations and same parameter ranges as in case of calibration, I am getting an error and I can not open the 95PPU for No.Observed.Rch.

Note: I can't see the No.Observed 95PPU definition file in SWAT-CUP Premium as in the case of SWAT-CUP 2012. The error and the ECHO.FILES for the same Iteration are attached herewith.

Please help me solve this problem.

Hi!

I was able to solve this issue by correcting my SUFI2_swEdit.def

For example, if you want to run 500 simulations:

1        : starting simulation number

500      : ending simulation number

The user manual page 26 is very misleading, that is why I was introducing the years, instead of the simulations and having that error.

Add your SWAT.exe file to the SWAT CUP folder. It should solve the problem.

if the problem percist, sheck the input very well;  the observation timing start after eliminating the warm period.
