distruct

Hi all, 

I am trying to run distruct on Mac OSX 10.0.4 and cannot seem to get the program going. I have changed permissions, but when I type ./distructMacOSX1.1 I get the error: Bad CPU type in executable. Any thoughts hon how to fix this? Can distruct not be used with this version of OSX?

It needs to be recompiled.  Is 10.0.4 a typo or are you actually using a very old version of OSX?

I have a executable that works on 10.8 which I can email you.

I'm having a similar problem with distruct in OS X 10.8, is it possible to get the executable? or how do you recompile it so it can be used in newer OSX?

Hi Vikram

I'm using MacOSX 10.8.5 and cant get distruct to work. I get the following Terminal message : Bad CPU type in executable. Any ideas!?

Hi there--

I have tried everything I can think of to get DISTRUCT to run on a PC, Mac, and in the command line. When I try to run the updated version of the mac version in my terminal, I get this message:

Kathryns-MacBook-Pro:distruct1.1 kathryngrabenstein$ ./distructOSX10
-bash: ./distructOSX10: Permission denied

and I am not sure how to combat that.

Any and all help is appreciated.

Hi Kathryn

Maybe you have to change permission of the distructOSX10 file.

I don't have experience in Mac, but should be similar in all unix-based OS.

In Ubuntu it's: 

$ sudo chmod 755 distructOSX10

So you give full permission to yourself.
