Black Screen 26.1 version.

I have an HP laptop AMD 7 Ryzen 5000 series and used Stellarium on it for a few years now with updates and version changes.  Now when I download 26.1 verion, all I get is a black screen no matter what Windows format I used...I've done all I know to do ...any suggestions. Thanks

Are there any relevant messages in user-dir/log.txt?

Can you revert to an older version?  What does that do?

Can you temporarily rename user-dir and start afresh?

Older version 25.4 works fine, I’m away from computer currently so do not know about relevant messages and third option not too sure what to do there.
