Steam limiter issues with Internode (VIC)

Hey Nigel,

I'm having some issues with internode in Victoria downloading some of the steam games. It appears the filters aren't working as advertised anymore :(

Also. Given that all steam servers in Australia are unmetered on internode is there any reason why they are set to filter Internode only?

You'll want to refer to another thread here which discusses the changes made by Valve to a recent Steam beta - which may be what you are experiencing. Not sure if they've since pushed it out from beta to the stable (?) release version.

Also, I think you'll find that not all Steam Content servers in Australia are unmetered. According to their FAQ: http://www.internode.on.net/residential/entertainment/unmetered_content/steam_content_faq/

• Steam content that is downloaded from Internode hosted Steam servers will not count toward your Broadband usage.
• If Steam switches to downloading from an alternate server outside of Internode (sometimes it will occur automatically), your Steam content downloads will count toward your normal quota.
