[Next Project] On The Sublime by Longinus

I'd love to work on this book next. I understand that the author is not exactly known. Britannica reports that to reconcile the problems with authorship, the solution has been to attribute the work to a Pseudo-Longinus. Let me know how to go about this.

I think this will be an extremely difficult production even though it's
fairly short. Lots of Greek, complex endnotes. The endnotes contain
abbreviated references to classical works, which we typically want to
expand - this is a lot of work and requires careful research.

The "notes on Longinus" section seems to refer exclusively to the
original Greek, and the PG transcriber's note says the number refs don't
actually refer to this text but rather to some other printed Greek
edition. So we may be able to just cut that entire section completely
since it's not actually referring to anything in this ebook (or one we
would ever host anyway) and is basically just academic musings on
translation quirks.

Hello,

Are translator's prefaces added ? Also I have a separate footnotes section and another Notes section after it; the Notes section are the translator's notes( illustrating which sources he chose to use for some parts while he was translating).

I also have an Analysis section that comes before the Introduction and an Appendix which lists mentioned works from lesser known writers and works.

Some chapters or sections are also fairly short and I am not sure whether chapters are good logical breaks. Also the page scans shows the sections/chapters on the same page not separated by new page.

How should I go about this?

The book should still be divided by chapters.

Should I strip these verse numbers ? Also the Notes section has notes that do not point to actual points in the pg text( some refer to the original greek source and some to these verse numbers) How should I go about this?

You can cut those numbers. You will want to rewrite the notes to point them to the appropriate points in the text in an editorial commit.
