SR(A)WN 2015 — 3

This is the third issue of the Student Robotics (Almost) Weekly Newsletter, a (roughly) fortnightly newsletter which summarises the goings-on across SR. This is a bit of an experiment, so if you have feedback or think we've missed something, feel free to reply to this thread. Emboldened items are ones which we believe could do with extra hands. An absence of emboldening does not necessarily mean that everything is done.

The previous issue can be found here. [10]

Huh, I'd thought that these were still pending given that the relevant
patch is still awaiting review. Did I miss something?

After creating that page I did wonder if there was a better name for
it. Suggestions are therefore welcome on that.

At the moment this is just duplicate of the other lists. I'd planned
to use it as a basis to re-organise the items by topic, and then
create tickets where suitable, but didn't have time. If anyone would
like to pick that up they're welcome, else I might have another look
when I remember.

Thanks,
Peter

tl;dr: The Printing House have confirmed that certificates where dispatched last Thursday.

Indeed, the patch is still pending.

The main feedback was regarding the font and logo positioning, both of which I changed before finalising the design with The Printing House. However, due to personal time constraints I did not manage to get these pushed for further review at the time (and have forgotten about it since). I'll get that patch updated posthumous, to reflect what was actually sent.

Howard

P.S. Obviously I appreciate that this is not the ideal process.
P.P.S Many thanks, Peter, for contributing the design and feedback so quickly to allow this to progress at all!
