Can't Save

I'm sure this is a very silly, newb question. Forgiveness please.  

For some reason, recently, I can't save my project.  The 'save' and 'save all' buttons are grayed-out.  I can 'save as' a new file, which is what I've been doing in the meantime.

There is probably some simple reason for my little dilemma.   Any ideas?

I think I've figured out my silly mistake.  I was working in the console, not the editor.  So Spyder didn't have any changes to save!
