Geolocation in Homekit

I have recently started to add accessories to Homekit and wanting to use the geolocation feature.  It would appear that this is not functioning.  I have followed all the advice I can find as regards correct set up and it still does not recognise whether I am Home or Away.  I have Apple TV4/AppleTV4K/2 x Homepod mini all set up for Homekit.  Any help would be much appreciated.

Are you setting them up using your iPhone? Checking Settings > Privacy > Location Services should be on
