I am in the process of setting up my new iPad Air 2. I did a full back up of my old iPad and set up my new one using this. Now I find that it has not transferred Safari Passwords which is really annoying. What else am I going to find it has not tramsferred?

Have you enabled iCloud Keychain on all your devices? The passwords should then sync up.

If that doesn't work, wipe the ipad (settings > general > reset > erase all content and settings), then back up the old ipad via USB to iTunes and tick to encrypt the backup, then restore that to your new one, it'll transfer passwords.

It's a good thing that passwords aren't stored in unencrypted iOS backups ;)

Sam

Sam,

Thank you very much.  I had Keychain on but had not encrypted my backup.
Once I followed your instructions all my Passwords are now safely on my new iPad and we are up and running.

Diana
