I am trying to get my blog <http://cinemaminima.smallpict.com/> to render with the Google Web Font "Playfair Display."

Please, where do I put  @import url(http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Playfair+Display:400,700,400italic,700italic&subset=latin,latin-ext);

I had tried this but it does not work:

With Fargo I made a document /Dropbox/Apps/smallPicture/cmsPrefs.opml. It contains these two lines:
#style
         @import url(http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Playfair+Display:400,700,400italic,700italic&subset=latin,latin-ext);

In Fargo > Settings > CSS, I put
body,h1,h2,h3,h4,h5,h6 {font-family: "Playfair Display", "HelveticaNeue-CondensedBold", Arial,sans-serif}

And then I rendered my blog outline, but the result was, the app page <fargo.io> sidebar is displayed with "Playfair Display," but the blog's font is unchanged.

I had also tried putting at the end of my blog outline document, after #type "stream"
But that does not work, either.

I would be grateful for any advice on how to accomplish this.

I'll do some experimenting and write something about this, soon.

It's not hard. But I want to give you advice that actually works, and has a chance of continuing to work long-term.

Good to see you here! I use your bowling guy image from time to time on Scripting News. :-)

Thanks, Dave!

BTW I am enjoying this version of Fargo for blogging. It feels natural to use, it is easy to grasp how to get going with it, and it already looks—and feels—just right … which is why the biggest question I have is merely about tweaking the font. :-)

Austin --

Here's a site to have a look at.

I've replaced the fonts used for the header and body of each day with two different Google web fonts.

You can see how I did it by opening this outline in Fargo, using Open By URL in the File menu.

The key feature is the <%customStylesScripts%> glossary entry.

This is included in every template, after all the other styles and scripts, in the head section of the template.

So you can override anything, in theory, by putting it in that glossary entry.

Let me know if this works for you.

Dave
