How do I override the value separator [last ; = AND (English)] to [last ; = X (Other language)]?

Hi all,
I would like to add a simple line to my html page to either force the default locale to accept a local .txt file or just address the problem by overriding the behaviour of the last value separator ; changing to AND.
I am open for any suggestions.
All the very best,
Daniel

Do you want to force a locale or to change a translation?

I remember contributing to the Spanish locale some time ago but due to the current urgency I'd just like to change the AND to Y on my html page.  I'll consider a better solution afterwards.
Best,
Daniel

You can force the locale with .../exhibit-api.js?locale=es. Is it what you need?

I'll certainly give it a try, thanks!

So I added ?locale=es and now the page is displaying the Spanish locale by default.

The 3.1.2rc2 Spanish locale was missing quite a few translations, so I sent a new Spanish locale file to David Karger in hopes we can have an updated locale for Spanish available soon.
Thanks for the tip!  ¡Muchas gracias Luis Miguel!
Best regards,
Daniel

You can use a local copy of exhibit if you need the translation just
now. You can modify the gh repo [1] and make a pull request, son David
can make the merge. And maybe we can think on a more complex locale
system because the es_EC and the es_ES translations may be different.

As Luis suggests, I don't have a good way to accept emailed
contributions. However, if you submit a pull request to the github
repo, I will work to incorporate it.
