For this example:

How to to implement "data-ex-facet-label"?
For example, data-ex-facet-label="Cap Shape" does not work.
Instead, the expression term "capshape" is the facet-label.

Hmmmm data-ex-facet-label should put the facet's label . Sure it doesn't work?

Facets general make their label by looking at the (last) property in the filtering expression used by the facet.  In this case, capshape.

If you want a human readable label, you can tell exhibit the human-readable name of the property in the exhibit data file.  for example, if you are using json:

{
"properties": {
    "capshape": {
         "label":  "Cap Shape",
         "pluralLabel": "Cap Shapes",
       }
    }
"items": [
   ... your list of items here
]
}

Another option you can explore is to use css to hide the label generated by the facet and instead provide your own using normal html

FYI, here's the page source:
    <div data-ex-expression=".capshape"
         data-ex-facet-class="Image"
         data-ex-facet-label="Cap Shape"

Will try David's suggestion and report back.

David, I think that Jay was asking about the facet's label, that is specified by the attribute data-ex-facet-label if it exists.

For example, The Mushroms example has a label setted as data-ex-facet-label="Cap Shape" but it renders as  <span class="exhibit-flowingFacet-header-title">capshape</span>

I've correct the bug this revealed (and some others) in the "HEAD" exhibit distribution; facet labels will now properly present by default the human-readable labels of their properties.
