Hi All,

I am new to the automation testing; I am trying to automate flex application with selenium IDE

Flex automation with sfapi

I followed all the below mentioned steps in the below webpage, but I am not able to record,

Is sfapi support selenium ide?

Can anyone suggest which the best way to test flex automation

Hi Girish,

SFAPI does not support recording. You have to manually write the testcases using the api and run it. To record it use FlexMonkey, but running again here will be an issue if components do not have unique id. From what i have seen If you are using SFAPI - it works for standard flex components only. So to use it for custom flex components you will have to customize the tool actionscripts.

Hi Girisha,

have a look at SQUISH.

this tools don;t require any code compilation with Automation ready support.

you can automate Flex app, as same as Web App.

I believe QTP and Silk automation supports flex fairly well.
