OI-Henry Coe Saturday Jan 10

I’m planning on Observing at the overflow lot at Henry Coe this Saturday. I’d love to have some company.

I’ll probably arrive around 4:00. It’s predicted to be in the mid-30’s, so bring lots of layers and warm drinks and snacks.

Awesome!  Thanks for kicking this off.

I'll bring my 18" again, and wear a onesie or two under my multi-layers and some sort of GWN winter hat(s).  Layers, toques, hand and toe-warmers and some sort of hot drink are the keys to happiness, and being bundled before dark.

I see temps around 40 on AstroPherics, but yeah, don't mess with Winter.

Who else?  All the Winter highlights are up now!  Overflow lot, right?

Unfortunately I have to work this weekend and won't ba able to make. But I really enjoyed Coe last month. Good location for time/distance from home. I hope to join y'all next time.

I'm noticing righ now new weather info for our region on Saturday night: increasing upper-level cloudiness passing over us early to late in that night. This could negatively affect any astro activity.  Stay tuned!

Thanks for pointing out, Peter. Yes, the forecast for Saturday has deteriorated somewhat. Maybe I should try get out on Friday, it’s a stretch but may be feasible.

I got hit with a debilitating case of a previous social obligation for this weekend. I’ll try to make next Saturday 1/17 instead. However, the extended forecasts seems to indicate both Saturdays aren’t looking that well so I’ll keep an eye out. It’s pretty unfortunate considering the rest of the week looks good.
