I am cleaning out the garage! I am putting this out first to our local folks before AM and CN. I have used these over many years and I am the original owner.
Takahashi BRC-250 Astrograph, f/5 with 1268mm focal length.
This is a fast Baker Ritchey Chretien design with a 100 mm image circle. This BRC-250 is one of the last ones produced at my request and has the signatures of the optical designer on the dew shield. In the Baker design, the optical path incorporates a correcting lens to achieve both a flat field and greatly reduced spherical aberration, coma, and astigmatism. The astrograph includes both a helical focuser and a Clement focuser allowing ASCOM drivers for the included RoboFocus. The telescope uses a Losmandy Dovetail designed for it. A Takahashi 7x50 finder is included.
More information on request to my email address.
Asking $6000
Takahashi EM500 Temma German Equatorial Mount.
Takahashi literature for the EM500 mount has tracking accuracy to +/- 3.5 arc seconds without periodic error correction and runs off 12v or 24v DC. A 110v AC to 24V power supply is included with the mount. The EM-500 Temma slews at 560x the sidereral rate. The Temma GOTO system can be operated via The Sky or any ASCOM compatible software, and is closed loop. This means that the telescope can be moved manually without restarting the GoTo system. The mount can also operate in manual mode without connecting to a computer. It has attached a hand controller for slewing or slow motion. A Polar scope is built in and is accurate to 2'. Encoders are built in along with traditional setting circles.
Three counterweights are supplied, and a RA counterweight extension shaft. The maximum load is about 90 lb for the telescope but many folks have gone as high as 120 lb with imaging. Included is a saddle for Losmandy dovetail.
If interested, additional information can be supplied if you email me. .
Asking $5000
A Takahashi Losmandy Saddle $120.
Astro-Physics 8" Metal portable pier 42" for AP900 and AP1100 mounts.
Asking $600.
I can get a quote from my machinist to adapt the pier to a different mount or lower it.
