I'm curious about plans here for seeing the total eclipse in 2027. Luxor has the longest duration of about 6 minutes and 23 seconds. Luxor could be very crowded with extreme heat. 3x I've planned on going on a Nile cruise but they were all cancelled due to political reasons. I once went on a partial cruise on the Nile. The other countries are not places I want to go. I can’t seem to find the eclipse duration of the ships in the Mediterranean or red Sea.

Well, the cloud forecast is definitely worse near Iceland compared to Spain, and the Atlantic coast of Spain is worse than the Med coast. Your best bet is NE of Madrid. Hotels in Madrid are not hard to find, and with a car you can get into the path easily enough. The hard part will be getting back as the eclipse is just a few minutes before sunset and the roads will be very crowded with others going back to Madrid. You also have to make sure you have a clear horizon to the west.
But either way it's a pretty short eclipse so I may not go.
