Restore Chrome Tabs & Time Machine

Hello Session Buddy, 

I’m running OS 10.12.6 and Chrome 63.0.3239.132 on a Mac laptop. 

It ran out of battery power and when it restarted about 30 important Chrome pages with tabs were lost. 

In my panic may have accidentally removed the Session Buddy extension. I know I used it in the past. 

I’ve got Apple Time Machine backups going back a few months. Perhaps that can help? 

I’ve tried editing the “exited cleanly” to false and other things but don’t want to cause greater problems.

Very frustrated, please advise!!

Hi Hans, 

In the databases or Local Storage folders I could not find the files containing edacconmaakjimmfgnblocblbcdcpbko_0

I’m beginning to wonder if the extension was deleted a while ago or perhaps it was another similar extension. Is there a keyword that I can search for on my computer or time machine that will confirm your extension was once installed there (e.g. “buddy”)?

I'm not aware of any traces an uninstalled extension may leave on a Mac.
