Hi Jacob,

I don't believe I've seen this issue.

Can you provide more information?

What exactly do you mean by ubuntu login loop?

Can you provide screenshots?

login loop of when you login then screen goes black and comes right back to the login screen. i wound up reinstalling the desktop and that fixed the problem.

I have a similar issue on my spare laptop when I close the lid and reopen: prompts for login, goes to black, will only do something if you lock the screen with a hotkey, them prompts for login again. I think I built it off the RC1 ISO.

Daniel, are you saying you close the lid while logged into a desktop session?

Jacob, were you experiencing your issue while logged into a desktop
session that was locked, or were you trying to log into a box that had
no currently logged in desktop sessions?

Yes. Existing session. Closed lid (maybe hibernated as well). Seems to unlock successfully but goes black instead of resuming session. Can hotkey to bring lock screen back, but same results upon unlock. Reboot is the only way out.

Locking (without closing the lid) on its own doesn't cause the problem.

I'll update it and attempt to confirm.

Hi Daniel,

I don't think this is necessarily a Security Onion issue. Sounds more
like an issue with Ubuntu, Xubuntu, and/or light-locker. Have you
tried googling to see if this is a known issue elsewhere?
